All the following were found along the woodland trail around and after The Outpost.

Whilst this could be on the verge of degrading — it doesn’t have the bright yellow colour — it seems similar in colour to the Fuligo aethalia we saw at Pretty Corner Woods near Sheringham in August this year.

At Basecamp we spotted another specimen of what we believe to be Artomyces pyxidatus on the same log – the log that we often see slime moulds, notably this Stemonitis flavogenita and this Cribraria likely aurantiaca.

On the two photos below, Mykokey’s AI identifier suggests that the open cap mushroom could be Simocybe centunculus — the dingy twiglet.

I’m quite taken with the gills of the right fungus.

We visited Strumpshaw Fen again in late September but there wasn’t that much that we saw and I didn’t feel that my photos were particularly interesting.
