Fuligo septica – Felbrigg Hall Estate
2 September 2017
This was the second slime mould that we ever spotted – not that we were actively searching every time we went out to some woodland.
At the time – not knowing much about them – we were disappointed that we weren’t seeing these bright yellow blobs more often.
This Fuligo septica was more exciting than the first one we ever spotted as it had several distinct developing aethalia (spore masses) connected by a network of plasmodial veins.
