Distraction by Fungi

The interest in fungi might have started here in 2013.
Admittedly, fungi along the route of walks was one of many strategies to distract our youngest from their tiredness !

The distinctive snakeskin patterning marks this as Macrolepiota procera, however, this specimen was found under conifers and we have read that it could also be Macrolepiota procera var. pseudo-olivascens.
