We have an old plum tree on the allotment and — days after seeing a wonderful Fuligo septica at Ladybelt Country Park — we were excited to find a bright yellow Fuligo septica aethalium in one of the tree’s old wounds.

The following day the peridium had faded and was beginning to disintegrate exposing the spore mass.
