Spathularia flavida – Thetford Forest

On a family walk through Thetford Forest today, the eagle-eyed daughter spotted this superb array of Spathularia flavida clusters in the pine needle litter off the trail.
This club-like fungus – commonly known as Yellow Fan – is listed as near threatened in the Red Data List of Threatened British Fungi.
